| The continent of Gaelleor. Once, a peaceful land inhabited by the people of Seonadeu. These people, like everyone else in the world, aren’t what you’d imagine. Everyone is an anthropomorphic creature; from wolves and big cats, to bears and kangaroos. There is anything imaginable. Back to the main story though; everything changed when three kingdoms came and claimed the land as their own; Fenys, Athaltana, and Undosia. The three invading kingdoms were too much for the people of Seonadeu, and they were pushed back into a tiny corner of the land. Since then, Seonadeu has planned for revenge. Seonadeu’s king immediately put what they had left into their military. Then, they waited.
Meanwhile, the other three kingdoms were at peace with each other. Little did they know what Seonadeu was planning. Seonadeu attacked swiftly, leaving all three kingdoms off guard and vulnerable. The three monarchs, desperate to rid the land of Seonadeu’s evil, called for their best warriors. It would be a well balanced team, for each kingdom was proficient in a different skill. The people of Undosia were users of magic, whether it be fighting or healing arts. The people of Fenys were completely physical. This is where your sword and axe wielders were. Fenys had the strongest weapons out of the three kingdoms. The people of Athaltana were masters of tactical arts. With only a little knowledge in both weapons and magic, they rely solely on their hand to hand combat.
The three monarchs had their warriors gather at the Athaltanian coast. The six warriors, two from each kingdom, will travel through each kingdom, fighting off the evil and figuring out exactly why Seonadeu has done this. Their ultimate goal is to make it to the kingdom of Seonadeu, and stop this dreadful evil that they have put upon the land. There will be a slight problem though. Each kingdom may have been at peace with each other, but it’s not like they actually helped each other. Each monarch hated the other two, so their people did the same. While the warriors travel, not only will they face their enemies, they’ll have to work together and put aside their differences to defeat the evil Seonadeu kingdom.
Plot: In case it wasn’t completely clear in the beginning paragraphs, this is an adventure RP. It involves four kingdoms, all populated with anthropomorphic creatures. One kingdom, Seonadeu, has started trying to take over the other 3, Fenys, Athaltana, and Undosia. These three kingdoms, gather two warriors of their own, the best they can find after the initial slaughter Seonadeu has done. These six warriors must travel and work together to Seonadeu, to stop the evil that they’ve brought upon the land of Gaelleor. --------------------------------
As stated above the three main kingdoms have their unique fighting styles and techniques. Fenys has the weapons masters. The people of Fenys have all used some kind of weapon. Whether it is a sword, an axe, a mace, a scythe, or any other forged metal weapon. They have learned to make these weapons with their own hands, and whenever they wield a weapon made by their own hands, they seem to be even stronger than if they wielded a weapon made by someone else. Most likely Fenysians will carry at least one extra weapon; they know little to no magic or hand to hand combat. Their fighting styles however, range from the most graceful, or brutal styles out there. Of course, the style all depends on where you come from within the country, what type of family you are/were in and your own personal preference. There's Flyte; Which uses as much dancing as there is attacking. This style is usually used by females, but a few males have picked it up as well. It calls for a rather slender and lithe body, as someone big and bulky just couldn't move the way required. The outfit is half the fighting as well, with attachments of long, flat ribbons that fly through the air, dazzling the enemy and confusing their senses of sight, feeling, and balance. Another is Earth. The style is just like it's name. Big, solid, and devastating. This style calls for large, heavy weapons and large, heavy people to carry and use those large, heavy weapons. They can attack by either hitting close to the target, making the ground rumble and move, or hitting the target directly, sending them flying. The outfit is very sparse, covering only what needed as the people using the style have high pain thresholds.
Meanwhile, the people of Athaltana chose not to use weapons. They are a more peaceful people; they feel that weapons only lead to violence. So in light of that, the Athaltanians are masters of martial arts. They can use any hand to hand combat style they choose. Their strength lies within their faith of the sun, moon, and stars. They use their faith in the cosmos to achieve spiritual guidance, and channel it through themselves into their fighting. A few have been known to carry weapons or know of some basic magic, but only in a dire emergency will they use it. Their fighting styles range from super-quick, like-a-blur fast styles to hitting enemies in certain point to paralyze them for others to kill. One style is called Minth, and it is unique in that it is the only style that requires a weapon. The weapon is a small dagger, and it is used to swirl around the enemy, dealing many quick, small cuts all over the enemy's body. The attire should be skin tight, as you may get tangled in the cloth.
The people of Undosia are completely reliant on magic. Elementalism, Necromancy, Abjuration, Conjuration, Evocation, Illusion, and Transmutation are just some of the things these people know. However, many types of magic are strictly forbidden. The most common spell casters choose a certain element or type of magic when they come of age, and get more proficient throughout their lifetime. Undosians can fight well, but are prone to being hurt due to their lack of stamina. Undosians also have weapons of their own, but not like the Fenysians. Their weapons pertain to things like staffs, rods, bows and arrows. Some may know hand to hand combat, but not at a level compared to those of Athaltana.
Finally, we come to Seonadeu. The people of Seonadeu are not proficient in just one skill. They have started to master all three that the other kingdoms possess. This is partially due to the fact that they are stealing those ideas and techniques from the other kingdoms. Seonadeans may know of any of the three major skills, but they prefer quantity over quality. They may be able to defeat the other kingdoms separately, but maybe not if they work together. One of their actual original styles is called Fahh. This style calls for one of normal physical health, as it's not hard for anyone to do. That's why it was made. You use a short sword and a dagger to jump within attack range, attack, and jump back out before the enemy knows what hits them. --------------------------------
The geography of Gaelleor is uniquely diverse. Each kingdom, along with their skills, has a different geography. We’ll go in order for organizational reasons. Fenys is a very mountainous region. This is because of their need for minerals and ores to create their weapons. They are plenty of mines, but their valleys also have rich soil, meaning they have fertile farmland. Fenys is a perfect balance of mineral and earth, mining and farming.
Athaltana is much different from Fenys. Rather than tall mountains, Athaltana is mainly grass knolls and fields. Looking out across the way you can see for miles. There aren’t even that many trees here; just plains, grassy fields, and plateaus. But what Athaltana lacks in land, they make up with the sea. Out of the three kingdoms, they have the largest ports. The trade with many of the other countries through this world, but they keep what they import to themselves.
Undosia is the forested region. Within a mix of elevations, Undosia has many groves of tall trees covering over eighty percent of their land. Now, either of the other two countries would’ve immediately cut down these forests to make their home. But the Undosians don’t want to harm the planet they live on. So they live amongst the trees, mostly by living in the high canopied treetops. This helps many of the elemental mages get attuned with nature.
Finally, Seonadeu you’d think to be a lot like Undosia, due to its location on the map. But in recent years, their little sliver of land has become plighted. This is mostly due to the fact that the monarch stripped the land of every resource they had to expand and enlarge his army. Stepping foot there now, you’d feel instant gloom; seeing the land charred and burnt; no trees or grass or practically any sign of life.
One major detail about this. This is set in a medieval period. No guns or more futuristic technologies. This should be easy enough to remember, so keep that in mind when you join. --------------------------------
One may be wondering, “If the three main kingdoms are at peace with each other, why would the warriors have difficulty traveling together?” Well, there is a simple explanation for that. Although the three kingdoms are at peace, there has been an ongoing grudge between them. You see, they all used to live in a different region of the world before they went to Gaelleor. There were constant land struggles, and quite a few battles were fought over it. So when they all found Gaelleor, they thought it would bring relief. But even at first, they had more struggles on Gaelleor. After forcing the Seonadeans almost all the way out, and settling themselves in, the three kingdoms decided it would be good for them to be at peace. They signed a treaty, declaring their peace time, and the fact that they didn’t have to associate. So none of the people within the kingdoms really know about the other kingdoms. This is why the warriors will have to adjust to working together. --------------------------------
Rules: 1. No Godmodding. 2. Follow all forum rules. 3. Gore/Violence will be seen, but nothing over PG-13. 4. Romance is allowed. Any type of romance. But don’t let the romance get in the way of the story. 5. Literacy. I want a paragraph minimum for a post. Please PLEASE! At least a paragraph per post. 6. This isn’t meant to be fast-paced, so no speed posting. 7. No furry bashing, no bashing other members for being furries, etc. This will not be tolerated. 8. Have fun! I want this RP to last, and I’ve spent a lot of time working on it. So let’s not let it die once it starts! 9. If you're using a mostly unknown species, link to the site so that we can know what it is! --------------------------------
NON PLAYABLE CHARACTERS:
King Salvayon the Valiant of Athaltana: Always joins his men in battle. He fights with them, protects even the most annoying soldier to the death, and has the scars to prove it. Loves Big Cats.
Duke Kaii the Ruth of Seonadeu: Goes into battle by himself, leading the war. Uses a large Glaive to cleave his enemies in half from several yards away. Doesn’t care whether or not he attacks his own men. Hates the King Valiant.
Queen Marilyn the Ecstatic of Fenys: Noted for her constant up-beat and chipper attitude, even in the worst of times. She almost always has stray pets kept in her palace, watching over them as their old masters didn’t. Goes into battle on the second line, providing great back-up.
King Marcellys the Physik of Undosia: Prefers to use necromantic soldiers to attack his enemies, with normal troops following after the main wave to wipe out the rest. Wears no outfit besides his under-robe cotton clothes and his black and red silk robes.
King Barkin of Seonadeu: Not much is known of this tyrannical man, other than that he is large and quite dangerous. Those who have seen him first hand don't normally return to tell what they saw.
Chazn the Messenger: Just like his title. He is the messenger between the Kingdoms of Athalana, Undosia, and Fenys. He is a cardinal , and his flight is an asset and a curse. Due to his brightly colored feathers, he can easily be spotted by an enemy. Despite some battle scars, he remains loyal to all three Kingdoms. He hails originally from Fenys, and he does carry small weapons on him in case he does need to fight. Chazn is a chatterbox, and will often ramble on even if his point is already across. --------------------------------
Now, to clarify on the actual characters of this RP. Yes, it the characters will be furries. Anthropomorphic creatures or whatever you want to call them. It will not just be catgirls or dogboys. I mean completely covered in fur and all that. IF! You do not like furries in any way, then DO NOT join this RP. I am not going to tolerate anyone saying anything bad about furries. Got it? Good. Now onto the character sheets.
Name: (This should be self-explanatory.) Age: (Nothing too young. And though I’d like it diverse, I know it’s not going to be. Let’s say from about 17-25. Yes, they’ll age more like normal humans would.) Gender: (This should be self-explanatory.) Species: (Please. PLEASE! Be diverse with this. I don’t want 4 cats and 2 dogs in this. I want people to have variety. So think of anything you want to be. Almost any species of animal will be accepted.) Appearance: (Either a picture, description, or both.) Kingdom: (Fenys, Athaltana, or Undosia. I will decide if anyone shall be from Seonadeu.) Weapon: (Mainly for Fenysians. If you have one, put it. No guns. This is medieval. So swords, axes, bows, knives, etc. One major weapon, and possibly a few other small ones.) Magical Abilities: (Mainly for Undosians. If you have one put it. In this case, go with being proficient in a main type, and maybe have a few smaller types thrown in. Healing abilities go along with this.) Special Skills: (Mainly for Athaltanians. Your main fighting style, along with some smaller ones.) Personality: (A small, short description of how your character acts and feels about things.) History/Bio: (At least a paragraph. Explain why you were chosen over everyone else in your kingdom for the main three. For Seonadeu, explain what your mission is.)
PM Profiles to me. Do not post them in the OOC. We will tell you when you are accepted to post your profile.
As of right now, I am currently thinking of 10 people for characters. 6 for the main party. That would make 2 from each of the three main kingdoms. Then, 4 more from Seonadeu, to give the RP balance. These numbers are subject to change if I see fit.

| Name: Janros Avael Age: 17 Gender: Male Species: Lion Appearance: JanrosKingdom: Athaltana Weapon: A quarterstaff Magical Abilities: None. Athaltanians don’t believe magic will help them any. Special Skills: Quarterstaff, and San Soo fighting skills. Personality: Janros is calm and cool, but also a bit rash. His training as a martial arts fighter, and living with the monks has taught him to show tolerance to all. He knows how to choose his battles, and he is a mediator. If a fight breaks out, he immediately tries to stop it. It's just how he was raised. He is always watching out for others though and will have everyone's back in times of need. He is a bit opposed to violence, preferring to settle arguments with words rather than physical or magical prowess. History/Bio: Raised in a strict family, Janros has always been under constant scrutinizing about his style and technique. Throughout his childhood, he was taught in the ways of the quarterstaff. Though he tried, he never could master it under the teachings of his father, Fanel. His father was never pleased with that either. Janros had looked up to him for years, but he could never please him. Though his mother, Aerin begged him not to, he ran away at the age of fifteen. He became a monk at one of the main Athaltanian monasteries. There, it was rumored that he got trained by King Salvayon himself not only in quarterstaff techniques, but also in San Soo. Eventually, the King had inducted him into his royal council. His ways of peacemaking among others along with his skills as a fighter had proven to the King that he was worthy of the position. When the Seonadeans started pouring evil over the land, Janros quickly set to work making sure innocent families were spared, while trying to not kill any invader in the process. Seeing this, the King chose him for the quest to rid the land of Seonadeu’s evil. He hopes to purge the evil of the land, with as few casualties as possible.

| Name: Ainno Ator Age: 23 years old Gender: Male Species: Lizard Appearance: Ainno's AppearanceKingdom: Fenys Weapon: Ainno’s main weapon is a pike, but he has a backup of a dagger. He handcrafted both of them himself. Magical Abilities: None. Believes that a true and honorable fight consists of strength and weapons. Special Skills: None. Personality: Hardworking and honorable, Ainno is the kind of reptile who watches over those younger than him, and protects those who are weak and can’t fight for themselves. He is sometimes considered “slow”, but that is because he analyzes every option before choosing one, for fear of making a grave error. History/Bio: Orphaned at a young age, Ainno had no one to rely on but himself, and he lived on the streets until a blacksmith and his wife found him and raised him as their own. Due to their kindness, he picked up the trade, as well as learned how to properly wield his pike. During the Seonadeans’ attack, his family was killed, leaving him alone again. Found by Queen Marilyn’s royal guard, who was searching for survivors among her kingdom’s ashes, Ainno was taken to her palace as a refugee. He trained profusely, fueled by the need for revenge and the will to see justice prevail, eventually becoming captain of her royal guard. He was chosen by the Queen herself to represent the kingdom, not only because of his past and present position, but his fighting abilities are rivaled by few and far in between. |

| Name: Cassandra L'Rahl Alias(es): Cassandra The Gale, Cassandra The Destroyer, Cassandra The Wild Age: 19 Gender: Female Species: Felish (Anthropomorphic Feline: Domesticated) Language(s): Felish, Beast Tongue, Mindspeak, Spirit Speech Appearance: - Spoiler:
Cassandra stands about five feet, nine inches, possessed of a lithe, agile build and finely toned musculature. By appearance alone, one will immediately see that, like her animal companions, her body is hardened by constant physical exertion and conditioning, as well as by the elements and nature. Her cream-colored fur is interrupted by many patches of scar tissue left by various encounters with enemies, both natural and supernatural, and her facial expression tells a story of a girl forced to become a woman too early. Mostly she wears an icy stare which common men find intensely uncomfortable. The unblinking gaze of Cassandra The Destroyer is known to many warriors, and is often the topic of debate wherever tankards of ale are exchanged. Her body language and posture are as stolid as her stone-faced expression, often communicating nothing other than an immovable mountain of iron will. She wears only what she needs to, saving precious space for belt packs containing herbs, salves, survival gear and smaller weapons. Her attire consists purely of rangers' leathers, presumably carved and tanned by her own hand, although the texture of the skins is not right for deerhide. The clothing is also old, though well cared for, which may indicate an attachment to the garments. They have obviously not been replaced in recent years.
Kingdom: - Spoiler:
A minor province just outside of Undosia. The people of Kaiim were peaceful and prosperous, but did not expand their reach because they chose to hold the values of peace, justice and balance, instead of gold. They may have suffered more illness and poverty than other nations, but their concept of crime was barely more than mythical. Kaiim was a family, though many bloodlines were mingled in their small scrap of land. Everyone was welcome, so long as they caused no trouble. Unfortunately for the people of Kaiim, barbarians and brigands do not understand the concept of peace. This province no longer exists, as far as we know.
Weapon(s): Terravindictus and Cassandra's Silent Vengeance are both named artifacts gifted to Cassandra by the Earth Mother, Gaia. In compensation for her pledge to protect nature from the evils of both man and beast, Gaia has empowered Cassandra's relics to act as powerful conduits to the energy of the spirit plane, allowing the full fury of Gaia's might to pour through them in times of need. Terravindictus - Spoiler:
Terravindictus translates roughly into Common as "Earth's Vengeance", or "Gaia's Justice". It is an archer's short sword equipped with a pommel ring, and decorated with symbols of the four elements of nature. Its razor edge measures an inch wide at the guard, and tapers to an aggressive cut-and-thrust tip. It is enchanted with elemental magic, allowing Cassandra to emit bursts of elemental power, emit auras of elemental energy, and inflict tremendous damage on supernatural or evil creatures. The sword is also imbued with an Inertial Charm, which uses its energy to alter gravity's effect on it when swung. The sword weighs as much as a steel dagger, balances as a rapier, and strikes with the force of a broadsword. It is crafted of a blend of elemental materials, forged in the heart of Gaia's secluded glade. There are traces of all the elements in its glossy black blade, including blood and bone. Terravindictus is an intelligent weapon, partially sentient, and can communicate with its wielder. If lost or stolen, it returns to the earth and finds its way back into Cassandra's hands, though it may take some time. There have been many occasions in which Cassandra finally grasps its hilt again after months of searching the woods.
Cassandra's Silent Vengeance - Spoiler:
Cassandra's Silent Vengeance is very similar to a traditional English longbow. It is made of wood given to her by the dryads; a living wood plucked from its home by the very tree which sprouted it. The bow is unnaturally resilient, and can be drawn farther than any ordinary bow. Its abilities, while not as straightforward as Terravindictus, are nothing to be underestimated. It has the power to imbue any arrow nocked against its string with elemental magic, as well as some other useful spells. It is also enchanted with a magic which annihilates any trace of sound made when the bow is drawn or fired, preventing the enemy's sense of hearing from pinpointing her location. By far, however, the weapon's greatest advantage is its True Aim ability; when fired by a champion of Gaia, the Earth Mother guides its arrows by her own hand, lending the bow uncanny accuracy on even the wildest of shots. If lost or stolen, the bow returns to the earth and is given back to its wielder by the Dryads, if any are present. The bow can also request arrows from Dryad wood, to replenish Cassandra's stock of enchanted munitions.
Magical Abilities: Cassandra did not originally possess any magical talent. When she pledged herself to the Earth Mother, Gaia endowed her body with the abilities of elemental magic. She is now considered a full-fledged Ecomancer. While Elementalists dominate the elements and bend them to their will, Cassandra is able to commune with animals and spirits, requesting their assistance. Her magic is more intuitive and fluid than Elementalists, who have to force their way into power, but she can also be refused by the spirits whose power she borrows. Most often Cassandra prefers to fight without using this power, although her summoned animal companions help out when needed. In dire circumstances, Cassandra will not hesitate to call down the full power of the goddess. Special Skills: - Spoiler:
Wilderness Survival, Archery, Swordsmanship, Tracking, Hunting, Crafting (Mostly wood and leather), Navigation, Beastlore, Demonlore, Herblore, First Aid, Holistic Medicine, Jhu Ra (Martial art of the wild, centers on learning the offensive and defensive forms of animals and exploiting their usefulness in battle)
Personality: - Spoiler:
Cassandra is cold, unfeeling, aloof and possessed of an indomitable spirit. She's hard-headed, hot-headed, and impulsive, and will rush to the battlefield if her animal friends are in danger. Unfortunately she gets into more trouble than she gets out of, and her attitude makes it difficult for her to find friends. For Cassandra, there is nothing more important than the fight against the destroyers of nature, and she will sacrifice anything and anyone necessary to preserve Gaia's peace. Her uncooperative attitude is the result of spending most of her life isolated from people, having only her animal friends for company. She sees most people as small, mindless creatures, caring more about where their next gold piece is coming from than about whether they will have the fruits of Gaia's labor to spend it on. She considers the mortal concept of trade to be an insult to the true producer of goods: The Earth Mother. While Gaia toils endlessly to supply her children with food and shelter, they bicker amongst themselves about which one of them is "entitled" to have it. Cassandra sees little use in people, thus does not generally bother with them unless necessary.
History/Bio: - Spoiler:
At a very young age, Cassandra fell victim to one of the most classic terrors in history. We all know the stories: A band of brigands, or soldiers, or monsters, or what-have-you storms the village, killing, burning and pillaging everything in sight. She does not consider her fate to be out of the ordinary. By now she has accepted it. She never even learned what they wanted from her people, and has since stopped caring about it. What she does care about is the day she is able to plunge Terravindictus into the beating hearts of the Destroyers. More than once, Gaia has had to remind Cassandra that her duties require more than simple vengeance.
Alone, beaten and battered, scarred by battle, and starving to death, Cassandra was dragged into Gaia's realm by the dire wolf, Kaio. There, she was given food and health, and was allowed to live among the spirits with Kaio's guiding hand to teach her the ways of nature. When she was old enough to understand the concept, Cassandra swore exclusive fealty to the goddess of earth. In exchange, Gaia granted her the power to fight back against her oppressors. She lived in that spirit realm for a decade before returning to the moral world, where she now hunts the beasts which would dare to threaten the balance of nature.
Special Notes: - Spoiler:
Cassandra's stony visage has given her an ability to deflate belligerent people. When I originally played her in a tabletop RPG, she literally earned the character trait: Frightful Presence. When she scowls and stares, it literally triggers a fear check in most people. Emerald Link, being the storyteller, gets final say on when this works and when it doesn't. Basically, what it means for us, is that Cassandra literally has a horror factor of 15 when using the ability (Rifts, D&D D20).
More detailled information on the Frightful Presence feat can be found on Google Search. Just enter "Frightful Presence Feat" and select the D20 Modern link.
Cleaned up the profile a bit, streamlined with spoilers, so that people can quickly find the relevant information and not tl;dr as easily. Just click on what you want to know.

| Name: Sweart Age: 17 Gender: "He" or "his" works for him, though actual gender, well... "It only matters if you actually want to get acquainted with them!" Species: Sad to say, just a domestic cat. Hey, everyone gets their one. Appearance: His fur is entirely black and short, though some places are shorter than others, due to being scuffed up in a few fights. He wears a brown shirt that is too large for him, though he tucks them into his pants. He wears a black shirt without sleeves on top of that, also tucked in.He wears long black pants with orange pockets that are rolled up to a few inches under the knee, and wears what probably used to be nice leather boots. He tends to like wearing really large ties tied on loosely, but due to the amount of fighting they will be having, he's decided to leave his ties behind. He has blue eyes, and a very light frame for his age. Kingdom: Athaltana Weapon: One very sharp butcher knife Magical Abilities: Nope, because magic is way too expensive and you can't steal it. Special Skills: He would be considered specialized in Minth, but most of the time, it is him winging it. Personality: Naturally, Sweart is a very laid back kind of guy, and kind of a woman/maninizer/pervert, though he prefers more "feminine"-looking people. He likes sunbathing, stealing food (especially tapioca drinks, his favorite), and hanging out with his two friends. However, he thinks most of the people in the city are ridiculous for their faith, and definitely doesn't consider himself religious any. He figures that there's probably not much after death, but then, why not live life to the fullest and freely as possible. If he were one to have any tenets, freedom would probably be his only one. As for things dealing with the situation actually going on, he thinks all of this is ridiculous. Of course Seonadeu is upset at the three kingdoms, they stole their land! They kicked them out of the most viable areas and left them with a tiny sliver of land. Why wouldn't they try to reclaim it? Why would the three kingdoms be so surprised about this response? Would they not do the same thing if the same thing happened to them? In fact, wouldn't what they were doing now be considered a VERY similar response that they themselves are befuddled about? But, despite the obvious stupidity, and his lack of desire to actually be a part of it, he knows he HAS to help the other warriors defeat Seonadeu, and defeat their "evil." He has to pretend to believe they are evil, that their response was unreasonable, because he knows convincing the others to think the way he thought, if possible, would be very detrimental. If he was able to convince them of his ideas after they had started, the idea of them killing otherwise innocent people would probably cause them to break down mentally, and who knows how they would respond then? And if before, then progress would not be able to be made. He knew, they weren't like him, willing to put his values aside to do what has to be done to escape a lifetime of imprisonment. For him, failure was not an option; this had to get done, he HAD to "find out why Seonadeu did what it did", to then defeat the kingdom, and to "purge the land of evil." Although no faith is pushing him forward, which would be seen as a weakness and a problem by many of his "fellow townsmen," he also isn't pushed back by his faith, or anything else, to do what needed to be done to regain his freedom. The other warriors, however, would be willing to suffer greatly in order to do what they thought was "right." After all, most probably wouldn't be fighting along side of him otherwise if they didn't believe they were doing the right thing by killing the Seonadeu people. Needless to say, his situation has given him a bit more of a serious streak, though he doesn't like to show it. History/Bio: Sweart was born poor, at the bottom rungs of the ladder, and will probably die there. But, it doesn't matter; after all, in his head, while everyone is wasting their time with nonsensical faith, he's living his life with the most freedom, living every day like it's his last, because honestly, it might be. For most of his life, he's just hung out with his "gang" (really just him and his two other friend) and work together to survive by sharing food now and then, and usually stealing fish from the docks and some popular tapioca drinks from a few of the cafes in the more tourist-friendly areas. However, he had been caught romancing with a very important man's child, and this is basically his punishment; that he will be forced to leave his carefree life and risk his life for goals he doesn't believe in, or risk being locked up (and, by the way it looks like, possibly for life) for trespassing and espionage. The upper class man believes that, either way, he wins; if Sweart dies, he doesn't have to risk the embarrassment of him dirtying their line, and if he survives both would look good to the king, Sweart for actually surviving the battle with Seonadeu, and the one who called on him for having a "good eye". |

| Quick question, Em:
What are we doing for languages? Realistically, different nations should have their own tongue, although I have always liked the convention of having the "Common" language which everyone can share. This means that, even if you know no other languages, you can still speak Common and be understood in every nation which teaches it.
I think it would be an interesting challenge to have some of the characters of this roleplay speak only their native language. It's also logical to assume that some things do not translate properly, and that Common will sometimes be misunderstood. I'm fully willing to mis-translate some of the things Cassandra says in my posts, if it will add to the story.
I'm kind of curious as to what a Fenysian bartender would say if Cassandra requested a "Baked Leather" for her meal. ^_^ |

| That's actually quite a good idea! I do like it. Hmm... Lemme think a little on it. Though, everyone feel free to discuss this idea amongst yourselves as well. |

| Got an idea on how to make this work. Apparently there are online translator programs available. If there is a statment, or part of a statement, that we wish to be "mistranslated" in a particular post, we just run it through the translator about 80 times, until it's funny enough. Problem solved.
I think it would add interesting elements to character interaction. I'm game. |

| Name: Procyon, the Lucid Age: 23 Gender: Male Species: Fox Appearance: - Spoiler:
Kingdom: Undosia Weapon: None. Procyon is too confident in his ability to use a weapon. Magical Abilities: Grandmaster level Elemental magic, Journeyman level illusion, Journeyman level healing Special Skills: None, I guess? Personality: Procyon is highly confident to the point of arrogance and a bit of a racist towards what he calls "scales". He also looks down upon all who stand under him in social standards. Despite this, he is still extremely diligent and is willing to set aside his ideals temporarily in order to complete a given task. Well, mostly. He sees weapons as unnecessary and barbaric, viewing any who use them as slow-witted and highly violent. Oddly enough, he is still highly charitable to the less fortunate, even if he does look down on them. This could be because of his upbringing. History/Bio: Procyon was born an orphan, his father dying tragically two weeks before Procyon's birth in an attempt to prove that one could have two different elemental casts combine and be used with control, burning to death in the process. His mother died giving child birth to him, her fur somehow turned black. However, Procyon was born with magnificent white fur, giving him the title Procyon, the Lucid. As he aged, he soon began to show prodigious talent, eventually going on to master elementalism by age 14, as well as having journeyman talents in illusion and healing. He dedicated the rest of his years trying to avenge the death of his father by doing what he could not, eventually succeeding in combining fire and wind to make a flaming cyclone which he controlled, earning him a grandmaster title in elementalism at the age of 19. Because of this, he was adopted by King Marcellys the Physik of Undosia, giving Procyon a sense of importance in the world, though he made a point to let others know that he got to where he did through determination alone, even going as far as calling those who have been overwhelmed by life's obstacles as weak and cowardly. Procyon is addicted to "stamina elixirs", which he believes increases his ability to use magic for prolonged periods of time. Also worth mentioning is that he basically doesn't have any real grasp about the world around the greater Undosia area, other than Fenys being full of weapon-users, Athaltanians not using anything at all other than their fists, and there are people from a land called Seonadeu who are to be recognized as evil, and he will be working with the Fenysians and the Athaltanians in order to eliminate Seonadeu. |

| Okay. We have a new feature to add to the profiles. In light of recent conversation, there will be different languages for characters. You may know more than one, but most characters should have about two or three at most, and only be proficient in one. These have not been fully developed, but there are a few. This post will be edited when more come up. Common: This is basically the "English" of the land. Most characters should know this, though it is not always the best to translate to. Felish: A feline dialect, it is more closely related to Old English or Gaelic languages. (Cassandra has this one for sure, due to her upbringing, though others can have it) Canidin: A canine dialect, more based upon Germanic or Slavic languages. Slithia: Dialect of lizards, and other reptiles. Based upon Russian languages. Lesser known languages include Rodenian and Aviery. Each Kingdom also has its own idioms and sayings, which you can add on your own. So, if you hail from Undosia, you'll have certain things that only you'll understand, which won't necessarily translate to Common. The same goes for Athalana, Fenys, and Seonadeu. For translations, this is the site we will be using. http://ackuna.com/badtranslatorIt will make for some fun times. Here's an example, from Cassandra. Original phrase: "Everyone in the spirit realm understands me. You must just be an idiot." Translated phrase: "I understand the spirit in each level. Just stupid."

| Em, if you're choosing Felish as a base language for the more prominent "Common", then it's possible that many basic phrases could translate (roughly) from Felish into Common. If that's true, then Cassandra wouldn't necessarily need to know Common in order to speak basic phrases and questions. Would only work with the Felish/Common translation, I think.
It could be like different dialects of the same base language, only the second dialect (Common) was adapted from multiple languages. Some things just won't translate, which will cause problems. I don't forsee her having trouble asking where the outhouse is, though.
Still a good idea. I haven't played the silent type in a while; could be good to get back into it.
On an earlier note: I did a search on Frightful Presence and got some useful information for people who don't know what it is. It isn't the exact same feat as what I had, but it's close. Long story short: She gives you the hariy eyeball and, if you fail your Will test, you find yourself wondering if it's a good idea to screw with her any further. Since I doubt we'll be doing any die rolls here, it will be mostly a roleplaying issue.
We'll have to figure out when it's applicable and when it isn't. I do not intend for her to make a habit of using the ability very often, and especially not against PCs.
There are several reasons why she has this ability, but I can't give away too much without ruining a secret plot device which may come up later. Suffice it to say that her time in the spirit world, as well as the life she's lived, have combined to give her a higher-than-normal ability to express disgust.
She's...scary. |

| Yes Len, you have a slot for a character. No, I'm not discluding anyone either. We'll have 7 characters for the main party now. Cassandra's slot is being pushed to the special one, since she is not affiliated with any of the kingdoms. This leaves a spot for a Fenysian and an Undosian. |

| This is an image that pretty much gives the layout of the land for the continent of Gaelleor. The group is likely to start out on the western coast of the continent, either in the Kingdom of Athalana. We have our last Fenysian, who is being played by Len.

| Okay. Here's some basic info for when we start.
The group is going to meet on the Athalanian coast, and be briefed by Chazn. The first objective will be to find Cassandra, the elusive ecomancer. Once found, she will join us and we will continue to travel across the continent, heading toward Seonadeu. The kingdoms have not stated what they exactly want us to do once in Seonadeu. There will be many hardships along the way, with many native Seonadeu citizens fighting us as we travel. If any updates are to be given, Chazn will return with the message. |

| Just so you know, she isn't going to make it easy. You may have to give her some "incentive" to come out. Just be careful that you don't look like bad guys when you do. |

| Name: Marr Age: 21 Gender: Male Species: Red Panda Appearance: Marr Colors/markings: black over the belly and undersides of arms/legs/tail, raid on the back with white on the face/muzzle and eartips. Wears a set of white robes tied with a blue sash, and carries a carefully carved and enchanted wooden staff. Stands at about 4 foot 8. Kingdom: Undosia Weapon: Magical staff Magical Abilities: Has proficiency with fire, and some small skill with water and healing magics. Special Skills: n/a Personality: Rather shy and quiet, the panda prefers to keep to himself without bothering others. He knows how to work in a team, but might not contribute as much as other members. Marr doesn't like opening up to others, and especially doesn't like being touched, he has been known to light a few paws on fire for grabbing a bit inappropriately. History/Bio: With the majority of older, wizened wizards in Undosia not wishing to risk their own hide, they searched for options, settling on a group of graduates, fresh from school. With their lack of field experience, and dire need of it, the elders knew they would eagerly jump at the chance. So they rounded up the graduates as best they could, putting them through a few quick, yet challenging, tests. Marr was the only one to complete all successfully within the allotted time, and so he was chosen. |

| BW: Yes you can post.
Sorry that I haven't been able to post to advance the story along (since we've got the main group together.) I have been on a class trip since Sunday, and really unable to get online until today. I don't have the right mindset to post right now either. I shall post on the morrow. :D |

| Well, all right, but I really don't have much to post. We were supposed to be getting Cassandra into the group, who, incidentally, has no idea anyone is looking for her. She only knows that Gaia has given her a challenge to go out into the world and show the might of the Earth Mother; how or when she will be able to do that is anyone's guess as far as she's concerned.
If I do post anything at all, it'll be her wandering around. I can't really contribute to the plot until something happens. I'd rather not fill the forum with fluff unless I have to. |
